Engine Oil (Again!)

I’m not sure what oil has been used in my Corvette, or how long it’s been in there so intend to replace it.

I have done the research and know that the 350 in my 1970 C3 has flat tappets so the oil should contain roughly 1200 ppm of zddp. I see from past posts people have been using a variety of oils including Halfords Classic 20/50, Valvolene 20/50 racing oil, Heritage Classic oils 20/50, Millers Classic Pistoneeze 20/50 etc. Is this still the current thinking? Is there a brand most corvette owners use?

Also am I right in thinking a PF1218 filter is the preferred choice as apposed to the short PF454?

Cheers.

Thanks guys. 5L ordered from Pipercross Performance Oils. £34.99 inc free 3day delivery.
The right oil filter is proving hard to find. Lots of different makes and PF numbers being recommended. The Corvette Owners Manual and Haynes manual doesn't list a size or standard.

I have an AC PF25 ready to go in my '68 427. I believe this is a standard filter element and used on many cars - its a 'shorty' filter....and yes I have used longer ones in the past. Look at a supplier like Summit Racing and you'll see many differing lengths available.......just check for clearance if using one of these.
