Feeling smug.

Just been watching an episode of Wayne Carini’s TV program 'Chasing Classic Cars', where they were working on a ’71 Corvette.

With the car conveniently raised on a lift it took three guys to remove one trailing arm assembly and replace it with a fully pre-assembled new one.

I remember building two trailing arms with new spindles and bearings on my ’71, after having had to cut off the old ones and then fitting them – without the use of a lift – by myself.

There are times when it’s difficult not to feel smug……;)

Remember watching the guys at Van Steel in Clearwater doing them on a car we bought before it was shipped over. Seemed like a horrible job even with a lift. Can’t imagine doing it without one.

Top marks to you Sir.

From memory that was 71 as well, in steel cities grey.
