First C8 Z06 Corvette will go on the block tomorrow at Barrett-Jackson

Saturday evening at 6:30 PM ET (US) (8:30 PM MT) with the highest bidder getting to order the 1st one off the assembly line in their desired specs.
Net proceeds from the sale of these cars benefit Operation Homefront.

No idea who will be presenting the car from Chevrolet although a Corvette Racing email said that Ron Fellows and
Oliver Gavin would be on hand to take part in the auction.

First production #001 C8 Z06 auctions off for $3,600,000 dollars (US)

The winning bidder was Chevy dealer & NASCAR team owner Rick Hendrick who will add the VIN 001 C8 Z06 to his impressive collection of VIN 001 Corvettes.

Introducing the 2023 Corvette Z06 was Sean Finnigan of Chevrolet and Corvette Racing’s Oliver Gavin was introduced, and he talked about the street car’s performance on the Nurburgring.
