Hi all, anyone know the location of the turn signal flasher unit please?. TiA.
Phew! That looked a bit scary! Is it just hanging loose on those pink wires or mounted in a socket ? Thank youNothing to remove. Once you know where to find it, it's an easy reach up under the lower passenger dash pad.
Thank youIt should be held in a metal spring clip - you just snap it out and disconnect the wiring. Some PO had been messing around on mine and the flasher unit was just suspended on the wiring.
Thanks for that, the hazards work fine so all the bulbs and wiring /earths seem good so hopefully just the flasher, hopefully here today. I had been out three days in a row since stopping the gearbox leak , so nice not to be limited distance wise and to keep checking and topping up gbox after every little run. . Then no indicators so grounded againIt should be held in a metal spring clip - you just snap it out and disconnect the wiring. I was getting a little woried here fella's in case someone mentioned "there is a 'Flasher' behind the steering wheel"!
Thanks tim, I was wondering where the other flasher was, the hazards are all working fine btw.Just as an aside: the 4-way hazard flashers use a small indicator/flasher unit that is mounted on the fuse panel just above the pedals.
Turn signals all working at correct speed now . The old flasher was obviously on the blink (see what I did there) ever since I got the car ! Thanks guys for all yr help and to Gavin Roe For getting one down prontoThanks tim, I was wondering where the other flasher was, the hazards are all working fine btw.
Talking about the pedal area , you have probably had a good look at the pedal shaft , can I get some grease on my clutch pedal shaft from the footwell to see if that is the source of my noisy pedal, a grease nipple posibly up there ?
Hi Gary, There isn't a grease nipple as such but it shouldn't be too difficult to get some grease on to the clutch pedal 'axle' where it hinges on the bracket - particularly if you have a white lithium type spray grease with the drinking straw attachment on it where you can direct the jet quite accurately. There is a also a cut out in the pedal bracket which would help with that - see pic. Thanks tim, I was wondering where the other flasher was, the hazards are all working fine btw.
