Front side lights

I was looking at the front of my 79 coupe the other day and got to wondering what other alternatives there may be to the somewhat basic but nonetheless effective method of attachment of side lights at the front. On my car it’s a simple single bulb light attached to the grill by plastic straps!! Effective no doubt because it’s never failed any mot on lighting,I am perfectly satisfied with this set up but there must be a better looking set up.Any thoughts or pics would be welcome
Many thanks

Nigel, I've bought a couple of UK sealed beam units that have dip beam, main beam and a separate side light bulb. My current plan is to use the these side lights, although I'm sure I have seen a write up where someone used LEDs that had both an amber and a white light in them. This would work in my 78 as it has clear indicator lenses.

You could have a lok at this website, of a club member (former club member?) who did the LED conversion. To my mind. its a good way to go.

It is alos possible to add a buld holder in the side/indicator assembly for an additional white, or yellow bulb. I have seen some where the unit is actually divided, but apparenlty if you add a holder and a yellow 21W bulb, it'll override the white 5W when you use the indicators.
