The issue of a strong smell of gas inside the C8s has been bad enough that C8 owners selling off the cars as dealers,
not being able to find the problem

Now GM finally says the problem is a line between the 2 tanks

Seems like something they should have sorted earlier than they did.....

Over here, gas in the car is more likely to come from a passenger not used to Corvette performance and sitting on the side of the oncoming traffic without a steering wheel or brake pedal!

Ah yes - methane, fuel of the future. Eat plant based foods and power-up your car with one of the by-products 💩👃

Is that on "early/earlier" US cars by any chance? Hopefully the lucky people picking up their new UK spec/2022 model year cars at Ian Allan now aren't gonna have the problem?

This problem has been complained about since the 2020 MY and an owner of a 2022 MY just had to have the fix done
so all years involved
I doubt non US RHD would have any different parts then US models

Best is to keep track of all GM issues the feds' website reports, though it lags behind on all the issues
Here is for 2020 MY C8, but you can change the year to what you want to see

Here is another website that has database for GM TSBs

Here is a post I found of another 2022 MY C8 owner :

I previously posted about the fuel odor caused by my 2022 C8.
It was repaired by replacing a seal on the pipe that goes from tank #1 to tank #2.

During the 10-month process to get that repair done, I did a test to see if the fuel system would detect a big leak in the system. I ran the car for an hour and a half (dealer recommendation) with a piece of plastic pipe, the same diameter as the funnel that comes with the car, in the fuel fill hole.
The flapper door is held open this way. The "check engine" light never came on. The dealer said they could see a "code" for this test I did, when I brought the car in for the fuel odor problem (3 times).
I also see other posts about people having this issue and getting rid of their car.
The online customer manual says the check engine light should come on if you leave the funnel in the gas fill hole, and will shut off when removed, and you drive for a while. Is there anyone out there willing to repeat this test and see if their check engine light comes on?
