Holes in the floor

Is the hole in floor underneath the battery meant to be left open as a drain, or should it have a plug in it? Mine was packed full of silicone.
Also I have a small hole in a depression just in front of the rear seat track mount on both sides of the car, as per photo. Are these meant to be left open as drains?'

Small hole, I reckon Dwayne’s been there with a drill.

Large hole should have a drain plug in it. Pointed side down

The silicone that Dwayne (aka Bubba) put in the battery compartment hole was the size and shape of your drain plug, but without the drain hole in it!

I'm not a expert but I think the battery compartment should have a vent to air to allow battery gasses to escape out of the car and not into the interior.
