Due to the confusion which was the engine oil for the C8 engines, Mobil 1
has just renamed the oil to SUPERCAR, so you know exactly which one to purchase and use

For what it's worth Halfords in UK have Mobil 1 ESP 0W-40 "Dexos 2" in their Spring sale.
RRP £62. Sale price seems to be £45 until next Tuesday (then £50 after that).

GM/Mobil do love to faff about with the detailed oil specs but I've never heard of an engine failure due to "wrong Mobil 1". When I've looked at it in the past the detail of oil specs for the modern cars seems more to with economy and emissions than actual lubrication. It's not like the older cars where there's a magic sauce for the lifters or some such thing.

Looks like GM cannot make up their mind as here you see you can use the older dexos1 or dexos2
and 3 different weights of oil

Well, at least for road use it doesn't make the blindest bit of difference whether you use 0w-40, 5W-30 or 15W-30!

TeamZR1 will be excited to learn Mobil 1 is sold at bargain prices in UK - a snip at around $77 for 5 litres/quarts. Compare $27.50 (plus tax) at Walmart.
