NEC Classic Car Show Birmingham

Went down to the show yesterday. Bearing in mind that the Club had only allocated a very mean budget:mad:, the small band of volunteers put on a great show.
The cars looked fantastic - the 63 split window restomod was incredible - and overall the stand did the Club proud.
A big thank you to Mike, RT, MB, JB and the other car owners who manned the stand for three long days ๐Ÿ‘

The club has spent huge amounts on this NEC show in previous years for precious little benefit to the wider membership, given that relatively few club members go. So, to get club funds back into shape we did indeed cut back on the budget this time around and Mike Penn did a great job of getting the more local members to show their cars, rather than inviting Corvettes from all over the country. This avoids large hotel bills and makes spending on carpets/lighting etc more do-able. The NEC charge a lot for (disposable) carpet and (bizarrely) electric points, so again, well done to everyone who helped to put on the CCCUK display and for manning the display and selling club merchandise and memberships.
It would be great to see some of your photos posted here??
I'm glad everyone who was able to go enjoyed the show ๐Ÿ˜

I went Saturday and echo the praise for those there for all the days. Having done that last year I can confirm it aint easy on the feet!

I took exactly 0 photos ๐Ÿ˜ฌ or I'd put them on here

The SWC is a resto mod with an LS3, SRii chassis, custom interior and absolutely fabulous. Some would say choose another C2 not a split but what a great job and bar paint all done by the owners.

Hi All
Yes there will be photos and words from the show posted on here.
I have asked the members who very kindly exhibited their cars at the show to put photos and some words on the club website so that everyone would know that itโ€™s not just the organisers who should take credit for the clubs presence.

Thanks to those already thanking us for the clubs stand and attendance at the show , however we have all been taking a little time to recover from what for us was a 5 day show (3 show days and 2 set up days) coupled with the few problems on our journeys home, resulting in most of us getting home very late.

so please bear with us for a while.

We visited on Saturday. First thing I saw on the stand was the scones - complete with generous cream and jam. Demolished in same time as the C8โ€™s 0-60โ€ฆ.
