Hi There People,

i ordered a new radiator from Rock auto (for 1989 C4 corvette) and dropped it at my garage but they say "it doesn't have a pressure cap." they sent me a pic of the new and old rad below:

Iooks like I ordered the one without neck filler- whoops- is this bad?

is this important?
have i ordered the wrong thing?
can it just be filled from the reservoir

Im guessing you fill it up from the reservoir and the presssure release is somewhere else?

I believe that's for the '90 on models, I'm afraid – they have the header tank up near the windscreen, with the pressure cap. You still need the one with the cap on the radiator.

I've got an Dewitts radiator in the shed that would suit your car, but it'd be quite expensive (it's an aftermarket high-performance aluminium radiator). Also got new hoses, caps, water pump, thermostat neck, etc. Let me know if it might be of interest, though; sure we could sort out a package deal.
