New Tyres

Hi All,
I own a 2006 C6 which has just recently undergone an MOT in which it passed (thank the lord!). It did have some advisories, most of which were the fact that it would soon need new rears. I drove to a tyre specialist and they confirmed that my Vette had 18s on the front that were non-run flats, and 19's on the rear that were run flats. He said that there was a shortage at present for tyres, especially specialist tyres and suggested that I ask on the forum if the setup I had (18s and 19s, run flat and non-run flat) was the correct setup and also recommendations for tyres from the forum members. So here I am asking, is the tyre setting correct and what tyres are people using and finding to be a good choice?
Thanks all.
John

18" front 19" rear is stock size
Not recommended mixing run flats and normal tires
Many of us hate run flats, they weight more, more unsprung weight and make you run slower :)
And just keep a tire repair kit which has a little electric pump and tire repair kit in one of storage in hatch

Good time to think about the tire pressure sensors that the battery in them about gone so when replacing tires put
new sensors in, balance the tire/wheel and new 4-wheel alignment

Just some examples of tires

Well, I guess there's no point having runflats unless you have them on every wheel. My experience of trying to buy Corvette runflats is they're essentially not available here.

Michelin PS4S come in a good range of sizes, at least in theory, although availability can be patchy. Tadworth Tyres do a lot of high performance cars and it might be worth a chat with them. (They're also good for vulcanised puncture repairs on awkward punctures in expensive tyres or when a tyre is hard to replace.)

Michelin PS4 is a slightly different tyre that's also worth a look if there are availability issues. As is Goodyear Eagle F1. None of them are cheap!!
