Number plate fitting.

Got my new UK legal number plates from jap graphics,has anyone used double sided sticky tape or velcro to fit them ?.
Does anyone know where to get a front number plate surround/infill ?.Thanks.

I use the sponge double sided tape, never had a problem, as long as its clean first.

My goodness,not cheap are they.May not post to the UK,would be even more expensive wiith imp tax and postage.It's a pity you can't get a download for a 3D printer,that would be good.I wish i could have found this before i got my plates made,But thanks for the link.

Got these made up at numberplate clinic (Bolton) not quite legal (mot next week!?!) but i wanted full size lettering. There is room for 2 lines of the smaller legal import text if that is preferable, but anything other than a solitary no1 would not fit full size. The largest square front plate available seems to be 13 x7 which is why it has a black surround which is attached on top but extends beyond the base plate.

I got this made up by Tippers Classic & Vintage Plates - really helpful guys, I created a template on cardboard and posted it to them, they cut it out (symmetrically!) and it fills the whole space at the front and uses legal sizing etc. Would definitely recommend and imagine they've stored my template.

I should add, used the double sided 3mm pads from Halfords to attach it. Two vertically towards the sides and one horizontally across the middle - very secure.
