Pssst!.......Don’t say a word to my 1980’s C3…….
But I’ve fallen for a younger woman…a newer model C5 and she’s only 22 whereas Ruby is 43!
I can’t afford 2 thirsty ladies in my life and to finance the wife swap the ’80 needs to find a new home.
Ruby was always a Californian girl, having been there since new until she came across the pond in 2019. Wonderfully rust free as one would expect. Originally with a 305 motor (all Californians were) on 3 speed auto, she underwent an engine replacement with a Goodwrench 350 crate engine (250bhp) in the latter 80s, replacing the 5.0L 180bhp version small block. She still retains all her original specification equipment including A/C, A.I.R system, EGR, EEC and PCV. She even has a Cruisemaster cruise control, so under the bonnet she’s all intact, virtually as delivered. Oh, she also has an HEI vacuum adjustable distributor.
In my ownership she’s had new carpets and interior refurbish, water pump, resealed front calipers, recored rad, new Quadrajet carb, modified UK spec rear lights and has all new door and t-top weather seals. She’s always been garaged at home in UK and used very much as a ‘posemotor’.’ Obviously tax and MOT exempt (Historic class).
Paintwork is beautiful in Nightfire Red. Just take a look at the photos to see what condition she’s in. Original polished alloys, with a new set of Cooper Cobra radials.
Contact me if you are interested and if necessary I can give you a ‘Facetime’ look around her and show you any of her finer features. But please, don’t mention I told you she has to go!!..... Close to £16995 may turn my head completely…………..
