Radiator’s

My 2005 LS2 has gone for 8 months without an issue however the rad has now sprung a leak from the plastic side .
So I have a couple of questions …
Can the rad be removed easily or do parts , other than the trims , need to be removed ?
Can anyone recommend a decent replacement and supplier in the U.K. who’d be able to ship one to Spain ?
Also can anyone give me info on what power steering fluid to use .
Thanks
👍🏻

Being the end caps of radiator are used for both coolers for engine oil and auto tranny
best is first find out if the leak is coolant or oil, auto tranny fluid to know what direction you want to go in repair

If the leak is slight, you might want to instead use a dealer like Blue Devil
I have used this for many years, they have versions for coolant, engine oil, tranny, etc
Simply pour it in and drive a bit and will seal the leak and works for a long time

If yanking the radiator also means having to drain the end cap cooler fluids, and oil along with coolant

I attached below for you GM service C6 manual in PDF form for the coolant system which gives you step-by-step instructions for
replacing the radiator and other cooling parts.

If the leak is at an easy to get to location, possible a radiator shop could solder the leak without taking radiator out

Thank you for your reply . I’m not 100% sure that it’s water so I may have to look at the sealer option for now ..

You will need to figure out what is leaking as that would depend on which sealer you get as they are
different makeups if for coolant, engine oil or auto tranny fluid and then that sealer type is poured into
the correct fluid, oil or coolant

Maybe whip leaked out with a rag and see what color or smells like to know what is leaking out

The GM PDF I gave you shows which end cap is for oil or tranny, and you're knowing which side the leak is on
would help pinpoint what is leaking, unless it is coolant
