For me the real treat in listening to 60's and 70's music is threefold really -
1. you are listening on far better audio equipment than what was generally available back in the day and possibly hear things that were perhaps not audible before. Ok so some of the mono recordings back then were a bit dodgy.
2. perhaps opinion will be divided on re-recorded and enhanced original tracks.......me, I think they are great and allow you to hear the music how perhaps it should have been.
3. I can 're-visit' artists and music I may not have had time for for back 'in the day'
I don't listen to radio any more. Non of the general stations play anything of any interest to me. Caroline is superb if listening on-line and you can 'drill-down' in to the formidable list of presenters and thier own very individual choice of music. It amazes me somehow that there is so much 'unheard' music out there. Yes, Planet Rock is about the only other choice out there. On line radio, I miss listening to Arrow and some of the other staions that come and go.
I just love you tube and 'live' street music and the random nature of listening on Spotify.

I’ve recently purchased a Retrosound system for my 73. It has all the modern technology but looks very similar to the original. You can customise the trims, bezel and even the knobs with period correct AC Delco / Chevrolet style ones. I haven’t installed it yet but will take some pics when I eventually get around to it.
