Hello people. Car is in for MOT but they and I can't for the life of me find the rear red fog light! The car has been in the UK since 1990 so it must have passed the MOT a gazillion times. Does anyone know of a quick solution like a wireless fog light from amazon or something?

A thousand years ago, Keith at Eurovettes gave me a rear red fog light on my '85 C4. Involved using one of the two clear reversing lights at the side of the number plate. Keith wired it up with an illuminating (when turned on) switch under the dash, and painting the inside of the reversing light lens clear red.

Have you just got the car Andrew? Haven't had to MoT it before? I was wondering if it may be set up like above already, and just the red paint in the reversing light lens had faded? Can't see an "unidentified "switch in the cabin (under the dash?)? Are both those rear reversing lights on the car working as such?

i got the car last march. It failed MOT in a garage in Aldershot on wobbly hweel bearings. I then spend 1000 years under the car replacing ball joints and rear bearings. But it didnt fail last time on fog light

As others have said, I just fitted a red lamp in one reverse light and put an illuminated switch under the dashboard, that can be pulled out at MOT time.

The "add on" fog lamp, bottom left by exhaust on picture, was removed just after this picture was taken.
