reliable UK importers to use for C8 2022

Hello everyone, can someone recommend a really good and reliable importer for C8 corvette 2022?

I was looking to get a proper one with right hand drive from from ianallanvirginiawater, but 2y wait is the absolute minimum now.... Therefore, I thought, I might simply buy it myself in US and import to UK, as I don't mind left hand drive. Do you think it is feasible? Is there anything I am missing out here, except for losing manufacturer warranty due to required modifications in UK to make it road legal?

Ship My Car, errr... shipped my car over to UK. Company itself was good, and being in their warehouse seeing all the other imported cars was fun. But get the seller to take photos and video of the car prior to it being loaded onto the transport in the USA, with the transport vehicle in the background etc. Also video the process of it being loaded, and then photos again of it on the transport. I say this because I only got photos of it on the transport vehicle before it left the seller - and unfortunately it was damaged during loading. Alas, the transport insurance I paid for wouldn't pay out because they blamed it on the seller damaging the car beforehand, and the seller quite rightly blamed the transport people. Basically they'd put the straps on it wrong, or tripped and put their foot on the sidepipe cover during loading - net outcome was the passenger side sidepipe cover got snapped. I never got paid out, and thus had to pay myself to get it fixed - which wasn't cheap as finding those parts are expensive, and getting it repaired correctly (fibreglass) was even more expensive.

It's one of those awkward areas where, "if it was easy everybody would be doing it"!

The catch is having to part with cash upfront and then twiddling your thumbs wondering what's actually going to arrive.

My personal opinion is it would be pretty unusual to pay full whack for an LHD car without warranty when RHD cars with warranty are available at the same price, albeit after a bit of a wait. Might even be worth paying over the top for a lightly used official RHD car.

The thing is that there are no RHD or even LHD C8 corvettes(speaking about current model) available to buy in UK, for any price. However there are plenty in US.

I'm gonna guess that any LHD C8 Vette is going to have to be significantly less expensive than the equivalent RHD car - perhaps initially it won't seem to matter but in time when there are more UK spec' RHD cars here in the UK most buyers will choose these. Of course LHD car will still sell here.....but why pay too much.
It'll be interesting to understand how well a current model Mustang in LHD will sell VS its RHD UK equivalent. An important question as Ford took the opportunity to significantly raise the UK list price (by about £6K if I'm correct) of the Mustang when the 460 hp engine took over from the launch 410 HP version.

Don't get caught up with all the hype, this is a GM car not some exotic Ferrari or Pagani so GM will start looking at ways to ramp up production to meet the demand, they certainly wont be happy about people profiteering on their baby. The bubble will burst and by 2023 there will be another must have car

Paul Bradley (CCCUK Member) of Midwest Performance has a LHD for sale here, but understandably it is more than an official RHD as it reflects the cost of acquiring and importing a C8 from the US for use in the UK. But it is available.
