Steering woes!

Hi every one, been a while since have been on here, its a nice change!

Anyways, I am having a night mare with the steering on my vette. it feels so sloppy - just wanders all over the place. I have systematically changed loads on the front end but nothing on the rear yet

Changed the front:
All bushes (on wishbone - anti roll - absolutbley everything)
new tie rods both sides
new ball joints all round
wheel bearings are perfect
replaced steering box with delhi 600 which has zero play at centre

My only observations are that if I move the steering, the chassis has an incy bit of flex that even budges the engine mount a bit. but Im guessing as the car is stationary this is due to a huge force from the power steering and probably normal? or should it be rock solid?

I have checked the rears for bearings and bush play but cant find anything.

Does anyone have any suggestions before I lose it and whack a c4 chassis in it :p

cheers

C4 Chassis may be a tad difficult
You have already changed most at the front - normally would have been worn Tie Rod ends, check the new ones are good
Check :
the Rag joint
Tyres per axle are the same size type etc etc and not out of shape
Play at the rear - rear spring to Diff mount - Trailing Arms

If all is good and she still wanders, you need a good geometry setup (and a set of front and rear shims in case required) The £50 Tyre company wheel alignment is usually only a front track adjustment - if you know what is involved - you can not get a proper and complete set up for £50, each corner needs to be weighed and then it is working through the Rubiks cube till you get all the settings right and all at the same time.

If you need it - these are the boys www.centregravity.co.uk
They are in the Midlands but have customers travelling up from Essex and down from Scotland - they are good

Have you checked out the steering box, may need some reinforcement stability.
