That's a nice looking car. The interior colour looks good with the exterior.

They do attract nice attention, and I agree more so than any other car I have owned. It is a privilege to own cars like these and I am always keen to engage in conversation with people who show an interest, and often let people get in for a photo if we are parked up.

Yes encourage the youngsters.. I bought up some £4 dinky toy C3's and gave two out yesterday to two little kids that wanted to see and know more about the Vette

(T-)tops off......had the car about 6 weeks now, getting through a few small issues and getting out more. Never owned a car that attracted as much attention (and that's saying something)..

Nice Corvette. The K plate suggests 1972 but the clear indicator lenses are 1971? I assume it's Ontario Orange which when done correctly with the right amount of 'fire mist' is stunning

Wasn’t K late 1971 to early 1972. DVLA in most cases gives the earlier reg for the year, so a 1972 car would have a K reg as opposed to a L reg which would be the later reg for a 1972 car.

Perhaps that has changed a little in recent years.....the '71 Mustang I had some years back had a 'L' suffix

Must have had a senior moment, forgot all about the old days. The DVLA used to give any imported car the latest registration at date of registration. So a 1971 imported and registered in say 73 would get the 73 registration letter.

That sounds about right as my '71 was perhaps at most 2 years old when shipped over and registered here in the UK. The '68 Javelin I owned some years earlier was on an 'H' (1970) plate.
