No problem here..
People complain that loud exhausts drone anyway, negating long road trips. Never happy, eh.. ๐Ÿ˜‰

Interesting one that, in the week when Teslas and Land Rovers feature in a survey as the two most unreliable car brands in the UK. Also, as it says in the article " That leaves finding room for a battery as the main challenge for would-be EV crate motor converts" In the trunk of Corvette maybe? So need another car to get the two sets of golf clubs down to the golf club? ;)

But seriously, yes have to accept that a V8 petrol engined car is an automotive dinosaur going forward. Just hope that the existing ones are not priced off the road, and still enthusiastic owners can still use them, even if that's on a limited mileage basis.

In the same way as Rolls Royce and Bentley would effectively tune their engines (when they were British manufacturers with British designed engines) for smooth, quiet low-end torque rather than outright power It would be reasonable to presume that a current high performance V8 engine could also be re-tuned for outright economy in preference to ultimate power output. Of course this would be a difficult 'sell' to many customers who only look at figures for maximum power. If a current Corvette with 6.2 litres and 400+ horsepower can achieve 30 mpg on cruise why can't a larger luxury (albeit heavier) vehicle achieve similar or better figures? Not that it really matters anymore with the UK ban on fossil fueled vehicles looming closer..........
