UK C8 Non Connectivity may be a good thing?

Maybe our cars not having WiFi for OTA updates etc isn't such a bad thing... (or maybe it's just not available to us)?

What does OTA stand for? Chevy withdrew the "OnStar" connectivity service (inc car location) in the UK & Europe a few years back when I had my C7 (still have the App on my phone). Would guess that the C8 may have a "black box" tho that records things in the event of a crash?

Stands for Over The Air
Allows any GM TSB software updates to the controllers by wireless
Does not require going to a dealer for those updates being done
This can either be done via OnStar path or setting up the vehicle to owner's Wi-Fi network to the internet

Data at the time of a crash is stored in the controller for the airbags, which is accessed by the cops or insurance company
