A Hypersonic Gray hardtop convertible 2022 C8 Corvette and a motorcycle collided Monday afternoon near the General Motors Flint Assembly Plant, leaving the cyclist injured.

Surprisingly, the C8 Stingray appears to have suffered the worst fate, with the driver’s side front end badly smashed in video of the accident scene posted by Channel 12 Saginaw News.

The accident happened around 5 p.m. at the intersection of 12th Street and VanSlyke Road in Flint, Michigan.
A reconstruction team from the Michigan State Police spent several hours on Monday and Tuesday in an attempt to see how the crash happened.
The extent of the motorcyclist’s injuries was not known, according to the Channel 12 report. Apparently, the Corvette driver wasn’t hurt.

The Flint Assembly Plant is GM’s longest running assembly plant in North America, producing more than 15 million vehicles since 1947 in 1947. Currently, the plant builds the Chevy Silverado HD and GMC Sierra HD Denali and Sierra HD.

Driver of Vette was lucky to walk away alive......bike looks like a 800lb Harley dresser - all that weight and kenetic energy in an impact centering on a 4" wide front wheel wou;f be the equivalent (and probably more) of the Vette hitting a telegraph pole or medium sized tree. You can see where the high riser bars on the HD have bent of pivoted forward from the riders weight in the impact.......indentations in the gas tank doesn't bode well for the rider though.........

You don't often see a smashed Harley with the front wheel broken out, that was some closing speed, I expect the rider would have landed about 100 feet stage left. He would have hit a taller vehicle than the C8 with his body. I hope he's going to be OK.
