Hi, can anyone help me in regards to finding someone that would be able to put back together my late father-in-law’s Corvette C1 convertible - engine and gearbox are in and working, it’s mostly refitting doors/trims etc and may need spraying as currently in prima.
Might also be interested in selling as is, for the right offer?

Custom Exotics in Harlow know what they doing with Corvettes and their paintwork is second to none.

Bottom line for Essex member dfearon is that he needs to be very, very careful on whom he chooses to complete the restoration of his C1. There will be many supposed 'specialists' around who perhaps have restored a variety of classic cars, maybe including 'glass cars like Lotus's, TVR's (and Corvettes).......but have they restored a Corvette? Have they restored a Corvette to the exacting standards that the NCRS demands?........probably not. It really depends perhaps what has been done already and how much originality the car has. It could make the difference between a £50K, £70K, £80K or more car (depending on original spec')

I guess it depends on what the OP wants and how much of the car is missing he may not want matching numbers concourse he may want restomod or just all together and roadworthy his budget is also a consideration! (We are nearly sorted with our new unit but we already have a waiting list when we finally open the doors (might be a new name as well) feel free to give us a buzz to chat dm me for number as the landline number for us does no longer operate and never will lol

You could also try Matt Davision in Snodland Kent 07842 496988 - he was the lead mechanic for Claremont Corvette and knows the cars well
