Apparently the edelbrock ones are not the same quality as they once were. Was advised by a wise owl to try the comp

Nothing wrong with Edelbrock cam - as such.......its just that the designs are about 20 years old. I know why........to minimise any potential warranty issues I'd say.

apparently the 2" are loud and then the 2 1/2" louder still. Hope i've not made a mistake.

Owww... that's exciting. Can you let me know what Edelbrock heads you went for and cam etc? I'm thinking of getting new Edelbrock heads at some point (maybe next year) and would be interested to see other people's feedback on them.
