Reinstated some repainted black parts. Here‘s the 67 only pedal box, I‘m not impressed either it’s just for those “ 68 part only” owners. EB19C6E1-A5CA-45D7-9CCF-3D7D7AC630EB.jpeg

Still on the rear suspension, paint colours are a bit inventive as I’m using up what I have. Shortage of bearing shims stopped play at 6pm.22EDD70F-9FE8-461E-A7F0-DEDCA45463C5.jpegC17AEAFF-5C61-41FA-A38A-0925023DA400.jpeg

Fiddling about in other areas today as I can’t find all the new parts I bought for the rear axle. 6A64F731-0A5A-4A75-BB45-E74F94FCF41B.jpeg
Ive been asked why I’ve put Milano Maroon doors on. These doors were on eBay.co.uk advertised as C2 doors. This is partially correct, they are in fact 1967 only doors, they look the same but a 67 has the lock mounted in a different place to 63-6 hence me asking for 67 door panels at start of thread.I only have a decent passenger side door panel.

Cleaned off the old weatherstrip glue. Very pleased with the lack of paint put on over the years, not often you see doors so untouched. Calls for an old school amateur paint job I think.CED7CFFB-BED7-473A-8189-1297383912D4.jpeg

From a 68 owner, you have my thanks and commiserations for the pains we suffer having "one year only" parts.

My (69) has some proper odd stuff that’s a combination of both 68/69 and according to the books not supposed to exist. Steering rag joint was a right pain.

Coincidentally, steering rag joint is one of those things I need to do to my 68. I have the part, just probably not the skills - and certainly don't have the time at the moment.

Find the time! I have lockdown paint to decorate with but cars are a priority. Having a go at reverting this lid back to red, I can see it going wrong and skidding across the floor.E368F5BD-EEC3-4F41-85E3-72060FB96730.jpeg

On a 67 you’re not so lucky and I’ve got a reaction on the paint. So while the paint is drying I thought I would cheer myself up with my old faithful roll of vinyl.0C385B76-2075-4631-9426-D0908F2E0D47.jpegE291D423-28AF-46CA-AA14-169172DBAC0C.jpeg

Find the time!
Would love to find the time to do fun car stuff. But I work all day doing my job for the NHS, also doing a long house move combining two houses into one, decorating new big house all over (and garage) and pretending to be a bricklayer / garden landscaper at one of the old house's garden. The only time I do have is when I'm asleep, but I like that time :ROFLMAO: :ROFLMAO:

Unfortunately also, and this'll come as a huge shock to us all, the car isn't that important at the moment as I've rarely used it this year because of COVID and as winter is approaching I won't be using it much at all. The current steering rag joint is still ok, but ideally it just needs replacing at some point.
