@Mr. Cricket What did your wife use for the chrome edges? Do you think a chrome marker pen from amazon would do the trick? Thank you. Mine are flakey.

I had a little scrape asmine were flakey. I reckon you can scrape off the flakey chrome edges with a stanley knife blade and then polish the white metal with progressively fine grades of emery cloth then solvol autosol and have a pretty good result

I didn't realise this but the front grills I think are already chrome but someone had painted black on top. I will repaint them black and then carefully pick away the paint to reveal the chrome egg crate grill pattern at the front so it is how it left the factory. It's gonna look great because at the moment they are flakey all over.
