[Choosing a name is hard]

Hoping someone can help
I have a c4 and when i got it the antena did not work
when you turned the ignition on you could hear the antena motor working
so i removed the antena and motor from the car opend up the motor to find the toothed "belt" that pushes the antena out/in was snaped of and inside the case where it goes when the antena is retracted
i cleand the broken belt out and the old grease re-assembled with the new mast/belt and fitted it on the car
now the problem
when the ignition is turned on the mast goes down four inches ,
when the ignition is turned off it goes up 4 inches
any help is apreciated

Sounds like the belt wasn't fitted in the correct position and the mast isn't in the "neutral" position.
