Anyone Imported a US C7?

I'd have thought it would save a whole world of pain simply to buy a car that's already over here, either a Euro model or a US car that someone's already imported.

Given what I am personally after, they are limited and I haven't see any here in the UK and the Europe window closed with Brexit and now we have the import fee there also.

What's the "dream" car/spec then? As Stingray points out above, some of the costs of importation are the same (fixed) whether you are buying a $40k car or a $100k car. Think its true to say that when you do the maths, the more expensive the car/the "relatively" cheaper the car becomes? With the current exchange and prices of C7s in the US, can you at the moment bring one in that's going to be cheaper than an equivalent UK/Euro car? Dunno.

Totally understand the math in a greater saving on a higher end car.

As for my dream car, well it's a few actually, so I'll save it for another time.
My goal posts moved this year having lost 17 months income due to Covid, but 2022 looks to be a great touring year currently, so there will be changes coming, but I am just deciding which and when!
