Anyone know this car? Reckon it looks a fair buy?

So if it's a "straight" car, how much would you pay for it? A club member auctioned his one owner 2015 US spec Auto with 33k miles recently for £33.35k:
2015 Chevrolet Corvette Stingray for sale by auction

If you do a paid for mileage/options adjusted Parkers Guide valuation, its saying a 2014 with 50k miles and no options is £29k from a Franchised dealer/£28k from a Independent dealer/Private sale Good condition £26.5k. List price new without options £62k.

I have had a better look at this advert and I think this may well be a different car so disregard what I have said
If its straight it's possible it's a bargain go make that video of buying it lew
I did wonder - It looks very nice! :) I must say I am super tempted.... But the price needs to be right!!

Interesting - I make it just shy of £36k with buyers premium/VAT etc which to me is unbelievable value ! I would have paid that had it not been an auto. Re the red car I suppose I am at somewhere like £35k? It's a tough market (I know that's a cliche) and I question how many cars like this are selling at the moment... I'm not trying to devalue Corvettes, just being realistic and I think the PH auctions car shows this. What do you think value wise?

Remember that buyers premium will have been charged on the hammer price from the auction and vat on the fees
Mid 30s will be fair depending on exact condition I think manual will be worth slightly more than an auto

See my updated post above with Parkers Guide prices. The two used car dealers I know, price their cars by looking at what other dealers are selling them for on Autotrader. Obviously difficult to do on an early C7 as so few come up for sale?

Have always loved having Corvettes/never wanted anything else as the weekend toy. But, a 2014 car with 50k miles at "£35kish" doesnt make sense to me. E.G. There's a garage up the road from you selling a 2021 V8 444bhp Jaguar F-Type Convertible/11k miles/FSH for £44k. That's value for money me thinks?

My now departed club member friends 2019 UK spec/Ian Allan Camaro convertible V8 with 6k miles on it is still available in Nottingham for £34k.

Seem to recall the 2016 6th generation LT1 Camaro was introduced in the UK pricewise about £38K.
The RHD Mustang V8 fastback introduced about the same time was £36K. Typical used price now £25K for an earlier car
Mustang was certainly a bargain out there in the market place compared with many other cars.
Arguably the Camaro was a superior car, but only LHD. Typical used price £25K+ for cars 2015 to 2019
Once Ford had established the Mustang here in the UK they really started hiking the price............now its new price is £55K+
Official UK C7 Corvette when introduced in UK loaded was a touch under £70K in UK. Used prices are currently all over the place but with typically £45K+ prices being asked.
I was of the opinion that used 2014 C7's were far too expensive here in UK (and pro-rata there do seem to more 2014's available) but comparing 'new' vs 'used' prices of Camaros and Mustangs..........?.......or was official C7 Corvette priced too expensive in the UK?

The UK market is a very strange one
My mate lives in Germany and vettes are worth more there than here
I always look at the US market to gauge what a car should be worth and right now I would say it was impossible to bring in a good clean title low miles car for mid 30s

The comparison between the C7 and an F type is an interesting one
Personally I would be scared of the service bills that came with a jaguar product
Imo they do not look as good as a c7 and much less unique as they are vastly more common
Certainly looks a bit narrow compared to the C7z

Some used prices for 2014 C7s

Perhaps, ironically.......the market for C7's has been 'skewed' by a number (albeit probably a handful) of early production C7's with manual transmissions and 'carry-over' 6 speed auto's from the C6 (which I understand are very specific in term of parts availabilty as fitted to the C6). Couple that with water damaged salvage and first year model accident write off's. There is at least one early very low mileage C7 coupe that has been for sale on eBay for a year or so at what seems a keen price.........doesn't sell though!

Just to say, the online Parkers valuation above, will give you mileage/options adjusted values for 2014, 2015 and 2016 C7 Stingrays, presumably UK spec cars. For example, a no options 2014 (14 plate) with 20k miles from a Franchised dealer is listed at £33k. A 2015 (65 plate) 10k miles/£40k 40k miles/£35k. Not that one of those is going to turn up at Ian Allan soon/so few about?

I don't think any euro spec 6 speed autos were sold the 2014 cars iirc were all 7 speed manuals
The 6 speed is indeed a 1 year only transmission that although carried over from the C6 is quite different and much improved in its behaviour from what I am told by someone that has had both
I don't think that it's of particular detriment to have a 6 speed over an 8 speed with all the problems the 8 speed is plagued with especially the early ones
2016 on certainly has a jump up in the desirability stakes as they got quite a few extra features
One thing that I think may start to hurt values of 2014,15 and 16 C7s in the UK will be the VED I guess they must be in the £600-£700 a year range now where an import is half that and the 17 on will be £200ish

Happy to be corrected on any of the above information if I have got something wrong
