My indicator lever has fallen out due to the screw coming loose. Is it easy to remove the horn button and steering wheel to get to the indicator cam ?

Hi Steve,

Replacing the turn signal stalk screw is a straightforward job once you have removed the steering wheel, for which you will need to use a steering wheel puller.

- Disconnect the battery
- Pull the horn button off the contact ring
- Remove the contact ring by removing the three locating screws
- Note the positions of the aligning marks on the wheel hub and the end of the column

Now use the puller to remove the steering wheel. You can now see how to replace the stalk retaining screw. If this has disappeared, you will need to order the correct screw (Corvette Kingdom has them in stock). Please note that these steps are for C2s without telescopic steering.
I can send photos of all the steps if these would help.

Thanks Chris unfortunately I have a telescopic steering so may add the removal of the locking nut. I’ll be starting the job this afternoon hopefully it will go smoothly 🙏

Hi Chris mission accomplished the screw was still there and once I got the wheel off was a simple job. The telescopic mechanism was very easy but getting the horn spring in the right place was testing. Thanks for your time and knowledge it was very much appreciated.
