Convertible, manual - what you can see might make it worth £10k to someone. What you can't (frame, birdcage motor) might make it a walk away.
Love the 'features'......Alloy Wheels, Cassette Player, Cruise Control ? o_O

Not really enough info to make an informed comment. Some of sellers blurb is incorrect and not applicable. It isn't a/c car. Not PB car. Probably not not PS either. Seller needs to give more like engine, transmission and axle spec's. Images of chassis/birdcage needed and could be well worth £12K to someone if a 350 hp engine I'd have thought

Worth saving tho. First year of the all new corvette for 1968, and it’s a convertible which makes it worth at lease 50% more than the equivalent coupe.

Might pop round and see if I can look at that, it's literally 10 minutes walk from my house
The seller should (if genuine) be up for that and a subsequent quick analysis for a potential CCCUK purchaser!

Magic! (y) I'll PM you my bank account details for my 5% "Finders fee" ;) Is there anyone one here who would love to do that car up and has the required skills/knowledge, but doesn't want to incur all the expense? Shared expense/ownership/driving scheme anyone?

I spent 5 minutes looking at the photos and I swear it got more rusty by the time I'd finished...

Clearly been sat outside forever and suffered accordingly.

However a '68 convertible even a small block is a very desirable Corvette so if it could be bought for max 10k and the buyer capable of doing most of the works themselves it could be a nice winter project. Course it has the first C3 and one year only parts TAX to factor in.

Assuming the bird cage and chassis aren't swiss cheese that is?

Next project for Tim maybe :D

Luuvin that bit in the ad "In Car Entertainment - (Radio/Cassette)" :) Reminded me of the "ICE" in my C4. Already installed when I bought it in 1989, along with the "brick" sized car phone.

:ROFLMAO::ROFLMAO:

That looks like a lot of work needed to put into that car. I love the description of the "1989 Chevrolet Corvette 1968":
  • Electric Windows (Front) - but I wanted rear electric windows?!?!?!? That and a photo of the manual window winders.
  • Electric passenger and driver seats. Cool !
  • 17 inch alloys! I guess they looked at the tyre size closely.
  • Automatic air conditioning. Wowzers.

To anybody that can do the work or most of the work themselves, it could be a good worthwhile project. Getting somebody to do it for you would be a financial nightmare. The end result would cost more than it’s worth.
Could be just tarted up and then moved on for a profit I suppose. Shame as it’s quite a rare car nowadays. 1968 convertible, what’s not to like about that.

I walked round there yesterday whilst walking the dog to have a look, unfortunately the lady on the desk told me that the car is in storage and they could get it to the site for me to look at if I was interested. Probably still in the barn! They did have a '60s Cadillac Coupe De Ville convertible there that apparently used to belong to Snoop Dog.
