I've rebuilt a few of these (~10), whereabouts are you? Could do it for you if local (unlikely - I know).

This is very true - cringe whilst looking for '68 parts online and seeing some parts are double or triple the cost of '69 onwards parts. But then its ok as all Corvettes look stunning, so as L'Oreal would say - because they're worth it.

Hum, Hemel Hempstead - not that near I'm afraid.

To update the car is putting out a cloud of black smoke and the emissions are way too high,I'm considering a replacement carb kit if any recomations or any other avenues,how hard to rebuild these carbs? Sorry I'm a bit vague on the issue
Trouble is these are ECM computer controlled units
