Great day out with Corvette buddies. I was a bit narked with the nomination at first as I'm very busy but very happy now that Derek Shute did do so. It is though recognition of the club not just me and in particular a great number of ever-present members at events we run and not just NW members as we're often joined by members from other regions. I was brought down to earth with a bump when the wife asked who I'd bribed?

Thank you everyone that voted 🍻

Thanks again Captain and well said. The club gave me the tools we needed (gazebos, flags, bunting..) giving us a greater impact at the larger more well known events which improved member take up and made the whole show experience better for our members. They were a godsend last year at Stars & Stripes where the rain was biblical both Saturday & Sunday mornings but sweltering in the afternoon. Those tools did come at great cost however in that Rich being the savvy operator that he is traded two gazebos for a position on the committee. I was daunted at first but it's really quite easy and doesn't take up too much time so for any members out there that would consider joining the committee or regional roles I would highly recommend it!

The wages suck however..

Cheers,

Stuart
