Absolutely, many thanks Mike.On behalf of the Club, and particularly those going to Silverstone, thank you Mike for being there and setting it up.
No apologies needed , great to meet you too . Just a pity the weather was so grim much of the time , but as you say , most of us were out and about watching the racing and looking around the pits and paddock areas which is what it`s all about . I know just how you felt about having had enough of the rain and the prospect of a two hour journey . At least it is only 20 minutes drive for me .A bit late so apologies for that, however, just wanted to say thanks to Mike for setting up at Silverstone at the weekend and also for the pleasant meet and greet when we arrived. Didn’t get to say good bye to anyone before we left on Saturday, mainly because you were all off around the circuit enjoying the racing, we had a 2 hour drive home and had enough of the rain by 4-4.30 so made a move.
Glad to hear you didn't struggle alone with it and hope you enjoyed Sunday's racing.Hi GC , sorry I missed saying goodbye too but having returned about 4 pm to have my first butty since breakfast time , I seized the opportunity when Rich Rogers arrived and offered help to get everything dismantled and bundled into the C3 and get away a bit early . My 20 minute drive home was a doddle .
The gentleman you refer to is the extremely genial Chris Sale from sunny Shropshire . My fiends team does not have a name as such . PJM Preparations where I keep my C3 looks after the cars and all the race support and the gentleman drivers are father and son , David & Mark Mercer . David drives the Torro Rosso March 714B and Mark the Orange March 74B . They are F2 / Formula Atlantic cars. Both cars completed both races on Saturday and Sunday despite the conditions and early set backs for the Torro Rosso chewing up a drive shaft bearing that contaminated the clutch during qualifying on Friday . That meant a back of grid ( 16th ) start on Saturday but pulled up 5 places before final lap was red flagged . Both had class wins over the weekend so more silver ware to take home .Glad to hear you didn't struggle alone with it and hope you enjoyed Sunday's racing.
Which was you friends team again?
Do you also happen to know the name of the gentleman from Shropshire with the blue C2 parked to my right?
I had several great conversations with him but neglected to ask his name!
I would love to see that Feedback Form . I don`t think they would like my comments though !!!It's fair to say that the location of our stand at the Classic was pretty poor and I will be taking this up with Silverstone in due course.
However, I understand that Silverstone have issued an Event Feedback Form. Does anyone have a copy or could someone enlighten me on this please?
