Hi all

I know a few of you follow us (auto funk) on Youtube with the ZR-1 resto/refresh series - More to come on that soon!

What I'd like to do this year is a review series where we review every generation of Corvette from C1-C8 so are looking for people willing to volunteer their cars and time to help us out :)

We're looking for examples of original or "not very modified" cars and would prefer a manual where possible (particularly C3, C5, C6 and C7). We're not bothered about type or bodystyle. If you're up for it we'd also want to film a short owner review/opinion type section talking about you and why you chose that particular car.

We'd need to drive the car (can organise insurance)

We can travel but Midlands based would be easier :)

Any takers?!

Cheers,

Llewelyn

Hi Llewelyn,

You are welcome to borrow Clive, but suspect you will want a more standard car. :) I'm also posting here to reassure any owner reading this, who may not know Llewelyn, that your car would be in safe, respectful hands.

Cheers, Dave

I might be up for that. 1972 C3 convertible 454, manual. Very original and based in Leicester.

However depends on when you want to do this as it is having an engine rebuild using mainly original parts and will not be back on the road until later March, or at least that is the current target.

I may be able to help you with a C7 yorkshire based
But it's auto
And I wasn't planning to have it on the road until March for the salt
Message if interested

Hi Llewelyn, Not sure when you are planning to do this series but if you are still interested in late summer you are welcome to review my C4 (coupe, 6-speed, 15k miles and all original apart from a Magnaflow exhaust) and my C3 (73 T-Top manual, in original spec but completely rebuilt as per project blog on this forum) which should be on the road by then. I'm based a couple of miles from Beachy Head in East Sussex which is a bit of a trek for you but the Seven Sisters make great scenery - a few sequences on Top Gear have been filmed here as well as an article in the current issue of CAR magazine.C4-Exterior 1.jpg

Hi all

Thanks for the replies :) Sorry it's taken me a while to respond, I try not to use the internet too much over the weekend! @Fishy Dave ha! I'd love to take Clive for a drive however I reckon we ought to do it in a separate video so we can focus on the story of the car etc.

@Mr. Cricket WOW! Now your talking, I'd seriously love to review your car :)
@Pinhead auto doesn't really matter, it's just that manual would be preferable thats all - Again I'd happily come up to you and film with you
@MilkyNoSugar Leicester is just down the road so again, it would be amazing to do some filming with you as well
@TimP You're quite far away but maybe we could make it work !

So we've potentially got

C2, C3, C4, C7

Obviously we've got our C4 and the two C5's but we'd prefer to film other people's cars so we can include a little bit about the owners (doesn't have to be you on camera if you don't want)

Any C1, C5, C6, C8 owners up for this?

We're looking at doing it from March so the roads are less salty and we have better luck with the weather, also it wouldn't necessarily have to be in order...

Cheers guys! (y)(y):):)

Hi Llewelyn,

I have a C5 which I have owned for over 20 years if that is of interest and we can work out the logistics. It is auto and has a few improvements but nothing too dramatic! David Smitheram [Fishy Dave] knows the car and has driven it [faster than me - I never liked him] and could vouch for it. I am in Essex but happy to discuss.

Cheers
Mark

I have a 68 C3 small block. Completely standard except for alloy wheels, 69 side pipes, big block hood, passenger side wing mirror, Edelbrock intake + carb, LED lights, uprated 3.08 rear diff with LSD, and should have electric wiper door opening by then..... so maybe not standard :ROFLMAO:. It is 4 speed manual, power brakes, power windows, power steering, and very loud. I do live in darkest Somerset though, so probably too far away.
