Dip switch /bright

Hi , I read in the drivers handbook that the full beam /dip switch is under the carpet near the footrest, havent located it yet, could it be on the stalk possibly on a 72,? Or always on the floor ? going out for another look later.,

Left toes operates it.

On my '71 there's a small patch on the carpet to the left of the clutch pedal - give it a prod.

On the 69 push the foot rest itself, it’s hinged at the base.
