The earliest Corvette 1963 in existence is a split window coupe, and strangely enough originated in our country at the London offices/showroom of Lendrum and Hartman. Once there it was quickly covered and hidden from show. It’s original steel wheels and caps were removed and Kelsey Hayes quick take off wheels were fitted. It was then found to be NOT the car they ordered as it had the wrong motor in it. It’s replacement quickly arrived ( A FI equipped car) the first car was registered in 1962 and used by the head of GM in the UK.
It’s retail price in the UK at that time was approximately £3500 including purchase tax. An absolute fortune back in the day. About half as much again as a E-Type Jag.
Car was located by corvette specialist Pro Team, and has been sold to a private collector.

Pro team also located and sold the last 1967 Corvette made.
