Front tyres required

Hi, Just had an MOT done on my 2003, C5 Z06, it passed but an advisory for front tyres was noted. Existing size is Michelin 265 /40 ZR17. Checking the UK market this size is no longer available in the UK or Europe, but I did find them in the USA. Anyone else had similar problem?
I have been told to change the tyres size which will fit existing rim, looking into it now. Any help would be welcome.

Perhaps consider a slightly narrower tyre with fractionally higher aspect ratio to give same diameter/car height. 255/45/17?
North Hants Tyres list Nitto in that size (but out of stock) but expensive - and Galaxy, in stock and surprisingly cheap.
