The pest control contractor I used at the establishment where I was Facilities Manager coverted his diesel vans to run on old cooking oil . There were six seperate kitchens on our site and I gave him all our waste cooking oil , it saved my budgets a goodly sum by not having to pay for collection and disposal and he got free fuel . A win win all round . :D

Great story, love it. 😂😂
These guys were real loveable characters - Impala was a 4 speed stick shift. They managed to source a Hurst shifter for it. The only problem was that the shift pattern was reversed (1st was where 2nd should have been etc)

A friend with a couple of restaurants used to give it away, now he sells it.
My guy also had pest control contracts with quite a few fish & chip shops and had all their oil too . I think every cat for miles around used to follow his van home every day ! :ROFLMAO:

Bit like the old Castrol R the Lotus boys used to put in their cortina’s. We had a couple down our road, when they wizzed along it smelled like a fish and chip shop. 😂

13 months ago gas prices were pretty cheap on average, at times less then $2 a gallon
But then Joey B and his gang cheated his way in and now the cost even for regular requires a bank loan for most here

13 months ago crude oil was about $30 US a barrel and today, almost $110

It is for marketing to attract people to buy gas there and saves the gas station fees paid for credit card transactions

Count your blessings , if Trump was still in the Whitehouse you would all be learning to speak Russian by now .
As much as I think that Trump is a 'wild card' there are those who think that had he been still in power Putin wouldn't have risked Trumps inpredictability when planning to invade Ukraine.

I like seeing how petrol costs vary in different countries, so I've done some loose calculations:
Super+ on card is $5.39 a gallon which is £4.05, and regular on cash is $4.89 (£3.67). Over here our regular petrol is around £1.45 a litre, super being around £1.60 a litre. A US gallon is fractionally under 4 litres (4 litres = 1.05 US gallon, so I'll just use 4 litres for ease of calculation), so for comparison our petrol prices in UK (no difference for cash or card) is £5.80 ($7.72) a US gallon of regular, £6.40 ($8.52) a US gallon of Super+.

My local Shell station leapt up 6 pence a litre overnight last Friday to £1.55.9 a litre which makes as near as dammit £7.09 a gallon for 95 RON !!
