These guys were real loveable characters - Impala was a 4 speed stick shift. They managed to source a Hurst shifter for it. The only problem was that the shift pattern was reversed (1st was where 2nd should have been etc)Great story, love it.
My guy also had pest control contracts with quite a few fish & chip shops and had all their oil too . I think every cat for miles around used to follow his van home every day !
Aah ! the heady smell of Castrol R .... pure nostalgia . Sure glad I didn`t frequent the chip shops round your way though if that`s what they smelt like .Bit like the old Castrol R the Lotus boys used to put in their cortina’s. We had a couple down our road, when they wizzed along it smelled like a fish and chip shop.
Maybe Trumpy should have drove a corvette....
Count your blessings , if Trump was still in the Whitehouse you would all be learning to speak Russian by now .
As much as I think that Trump is a 'wild card' there are those who think that had he been still in power Putin wouldn't have risked Trumps inpredictability when planning to invade Ukraine.
