Why are they all listed as used and all having 10 miles on them? Some circumnavigation going on maybe?
Says "Brand new/unregisterd" in the ads for the individual cars. Ist year VED for cars over 255g/km, including the C8, going up 100% from £2,745 to £5,490 in April. Might impact the list price (in April)? None of the individual ads for the Stingrays, mention them having the Front Lift or Magnetic Ride options . Maybe they just forgot? Would want those if spending all that money.

Either I am missing something ?
Or they do not know much about Corvettes
Looking at the gray one for 189,000 they just state it a Corvette but nowhere in the ad for this do they state it is a Z06
They should state if a Stingray or a Z06

One area they say it is used with 10 miles on it and in another page says it is new
Nowhere states if there is any GM warranty, if not noway would buy one without it

GM to reduce people buying a Z06 and then flipping it within 6 months of purchase kills off warranty
They are too lazy to produce photos to market the Corvettes
Does not even state if LHD or RHD and seems like it does not have the aero or rear wing options

Base Z06 prices at $116,000 so they should state why a used one with no warranty selling price of 189,000 UK

In fairness to Arnold Clark their 'entry' in to the Corvette world is very recent - perhaps we can initially forgive a degree of inaccuracy and/or lack of detail about the cars/models.options etc. and wait for more comprehensive information?

Just spoke to Kieran at Arnold Clark Corvette Altrincham. Very nice helpful young guy. He is now aware of the CCCUK website and the Facebook page. He's telling me:

1) He has been inundated with interest for C8s.
2) The 4 Stingrays in the ad have the Front Lift and Mag Ride.
3) You will be able order a car to your spec in the future. The ERay will be factory order only.
4) The prices in the ad, exclude the first year VED.
5) He has 11 new cars on site now (6 Stingrays/5 Z06s (Coupes & Convertibles). There are 19 cars at Arnold Clark Glasgow.

Going to pay them a visit tomorrow as they're only 15 miles away and give them a stack of Vette News and ask them to recommend our club to any purchasers

19 in Glasgow and 11 in Altrincham? Has anybody explained to GM the difference in population size between England and Scotland?!!

In that picture on Facebook at Southampton docks, there looks like about 50 of them? So if Arnold Clark got 30 of them, maybe the rest of them have gone to Lumen in Shrewsbury?

If the conversion is correct for their 2024 Z06 when 2025 MY coming out, that is a lot of money, worse if no GM warranty

189,000.00 British Pounds = 231,074 US Dollars

When Z06 sticker is like $117,000

Popped in today and spent a couple of hours with Kieran. He's battling on two fronts with the arrival of 11 Corvettes and some other high end cars as they transition into more expensive vehicles. A chap came into discuss a ZO6 purchase while I was there so I gave him and Kieran a bunch of Vette News mags to hand out to potential owners. Some new-to-me colours so I snapped some pics. Three were being collected today to go to AC Salford for PDI's so they should be available soon. He wasn't aware of the GM directive on the 6 months ZO6 warrantee being void if the first owner sells the car on so will be checking into that. Asked him to consider a CCCUK one year membership with every car sold in return for us sending possible buyers their way. On the whole he's pretty excited by it all as he should be.

An example of buying a flipped Z06 :

The 2nd owner allegedly paid $177K for a 1LZ Z06 and because it was flipped within six months,
GM has blocked the car’s VIN from being able to be serviced for a warranty repair.

Now the second owner is being confronted with carrying the full cost of repair of course the DCT, he tells the dealership he can’t afford those repairs and so the car has been sitting broken for months.
The dealer did offer him an out if he wanted to trade in the non-working Z06 for something else, and the dealer says they even offered $102K outright for the car
But because the owner is so pissed, he has yet to fully come to terms with the financial pain that he is being subjected to.
Question is did he know he was buying a flipped ZO6 with no GM warranty as seller or dealer lying to him
Or he was aware and shook the dice nothing would go wrong and need thousands of out of pocket dollars in repairs

From GM :

Buyers must sign on purchase

If their customer does not keep their Z06 for 12 months: ( I believe GM changed that to 6 months ?)

You will be ineligible to place vehicle reservations or place a sold order with a dealer for certain high demand models (as identified by GM), including but not limited to future Corvette Z06.
The Bumper-To-Power, Powertrain, Sheet Metal, Tire and Accessory Coverage under GM’s New Vehicle Limited Warranty will be voided.
They will not be eligible to receive the exclusive Z06 award of 500,000 My Chevrolet Rewards points (a $5,000 value).

Dealers will need to have all 2023 Corvette Z06 customers sign the attached acknowledgement form at the time of delivery and make sure they understand what will happen if they do not retain the vehicle for the required 12 months. This document should be kept in the deal jacket and made available to GM upon request.

We’re hopeful that these changes will benefit the customer experience and keep our brand strong.

Thanks

Also keep in mind due to screwed up Europe smog rules, Z06s sold there have to have a special exhaust the reduces HP by
35 HP and 22 ft/lbs of torque :(
