An example of buying a flipped Z06 :

The 2nd owner allegedly paid $177K for a 1LZ Z06 and because it was flipped within six months,
GM has blocked the car’s VIN from being able to be serviced for a warranty repair.

Now the second owner is being confronted with carrying the full cost of repair of course the DCT, he tells the dealership he can’t afford those repairs and so the car has been sitting broken for months.
The dealer did offer him an out if he wanted to trade in the non-working Z06 for something else, and the dealer says they even offered $102K outright for the car
But because the owner is so pissed, he has yet to fully come to terms with the financial pain that he is being subjected to.
Question is did he know he was buying a flipped ZO6 with no GM warranty as seller or dealer lying to him
Or he was aware and shook the dice nothing would go wrong and need thousands of out of pocket dollars in repairs

From GM :

Buyers must sign on purchase

If their customer does not keep their Z06 for 12 months: ( I believe GM changed that to 6 months ?)

You will be ineligible to place vehicle reservations or place a sold order with a dealer for certain high demand models (as identified by GM), including but not limited to future Corvette Z06.
The Bumper-To-Power, Powertrain, Sheet Metal, Tire and Accessory Coverage under GM’s New Vehicle Limited Warranty will be voided.
They will not be eligible to receive the exclusive Z06 award of 500,000 My Chevrolet Rewards points (a $5,000 value).

Dealers will need to have all 2023 Corvette Z06 customers sign the attached acknowledgement form at the time of delivery and make sure they understand what will happen if they do not retain the vehicle for the required 12 months. This document should be kept in the deal jacket and made available to GM upon request.

We’re hopeful that these changes will benefit the customer experience and keep our brand strong.

Thanks

Also keep in mind due to screwed up Europe smog rules, Z06s sold there have to have a special exhaust the reduces HP by
35 HP and 22 ft/lbs of torque :(
Would the USA restricted warranty hold firm in Europe and the UK?.......I'd be surprised if it wouldn't be seen in a poor light legally.......not saying that GM haven't got a point by trying to freeze-out the used 'price hikers'......

I wonder if it was mostly aimed at the very first C8 ZO6's due to the anticipation?

Edit, didn't Ferrari start doing this ages back?

Do not know the answer as to used sold in Europe but think GM tags the Z06 VIN# when flipped early
no matter where Z06 went to ?

Yes, Ferrari also does this
Anyone buying a flipped Z06 should before buying one is having the VIN # checked with GM to assure that Z06 has functional
GM warranty or find out what model years of Z06 was under flipper rules

We had one that colour next to a 'flat' red one last summer and that one you point out blew the other one away. Isn't Deb's that colour too Monty?
Yes Debs is Tactical Red or Red Mist as it’s called in America, it’s a really beautiful colour when it’s in the sunshine.
At the NEC, under the lights it showed just how good the colour is. In my opinion, it really needs to have a light colour interior to highlight it but light interior’s show the dirt more.
On another note I see that Ian Allan has reduced all of his remaining stock, I wonder if they will get more stock and what impact it will have on them if they can’t.

I thought both your cars looked stunning at the NEC, colours really suited them.
