Pretty obvious choice I would say. Not a lot of models available now to use as Pace cars. Corvette, Camaro or Mustang. Of course they could surprise everyone and use a Tesla. It is after all American. At one time they were spoilt for choice, but not anymore.

Always thought it strange that America’s only sports car didn’t pace the 500 until 1978.
