The day before I sold the '01. I know it's quite plain looking and non-descript, but garnered many awards over the years due to the display associated with it. I miss that car, had a lot of fun with it.

72stingraypaul,

That's a beautiful car. Forgive me playing with your photo, but I'm wondering if a thin plexiglas sheet (in yellow), as wide as a North American plate, could be placed behind the existing plate:
a) would it be legal?
b) would it meet your fancy?

I did only one side to demonstrate the difference.

67 I don't think Paul sits in front of a PC as much as some do! The under-sized plate was my boo boo. I had transferred my cherished number before selling this car to Paul and in getting the new plates made, the supplier made motorcycle sized plates by mistake. They should fit as per mine prior to the sale and I'm sure Paul will fix that at some point:

these are only temporary plates as the dvla messed up with putting the original plate on after the previous owner took his cherished number off.
in the meantime im searching the sites for a possible vet related plate

Looks super! Interesting valve covers. I quite like the look with the rack on the rear deck.

I was going to comment on your number plates, but see that Bob already has. Some US sized plates would look a little neater, in my opinion.

For Bob's benefit, US size plates, with smaller "motorcycle sized" numbers and letters, are legal in the UK if the car was built with a recess made to fit that size plate. An official dispensation was given many years ago. A few places can produce plates of that size with no problem.
