Get yourselves up there……. Gods own country 👍😍
I was only teasing ! Scotland is truly stunning for the most part and have had great times exploring the West Highland Coast and the Isles . Fantastic mountain walking ! Congrats James on putting down a deposit on a Vette. Hope you get it soon and insurance is all good.

When you get it, I look forward to seeing the photos and all the details about the car

I think James needs a trophy at the next nationals for the most drawn out purchase of a vet, my money was on next year. Please James don't run for Prime Minister, I dont think i could take the stress levels.....
Well done and i hope you have nothing but happy driving with it.
:) :) :)

Good news! I put a deposit down and collecting this week a matching numbers red on red 71. Just needs paint work but nothing else needs work although I need a passenger side mirror and new side indicator. I really liked the red interior in person. I plan to sell the custom wheels in the future and replace with stock.

Congrats and welcome to the '71 club. I have to say, I've never seen that design luggage rack before? I have a shed load of 71 & 72 parts taking up room in the garage - I'll check if I have any side markers.

There were a number of makers of luggage racks in the 70’s this is probably one of the more rare ones ( probably a bit cheaper when new than a factory or factory copy one.
I personally have always liked rear luggage racks on 1968-77 corvettes, weather coupes or convertibles

Me, i like the car with or without a rear rack, but prefer it with. The only problem with the chrome ones as opposed to the stainless steel version is that the chrome one rusts if not looked after. Then it looks tatty.

I'm just lucky that my favourite car isn't ridiculously expensive like dodge chargers! (in my top 5).
Most chargers rusted away early on in their lifespan, then of course the dukes of hazard didn’t help much as many were destroyed during the production. Then they started increasing, now they are £££££. They are however not a particularly good car. Legendary engines yes.

Cool thanks. I definitely want an original radio with the cool dials if you have one. Even if it's broken.
