Here’s something I found re original vs reproduction wheels. This info was dated 2020, so fairly recent.
1. Original N89 wheels have 16 reinforcing ribs cast into the back side of the wheel, in two diametrically-opposed groups of 8 - see photo below. This feature didn't start to appear on reproduction N89 wheels until a few months ago, and only from one manufacturer (there are two).
2. Original N89 wheels use ordinary production tapered lug nuts, with matching tapered (chamfered) holes in the wheel; many of the reproductions use long-shank mag wheel lug nuts with large hardened flat washers and ordinary drilled lug holes with no taper (chamfer).
