Think of it positively - you have extra room for a trick exhaust system now....

Yes, it does seem a waste of the space really - especially as I have side pipes . Maybe I'll get one of those "changeable" exhausts that either go to the rear, or to the side pipes, at a flick of a switch.

You may wish to consider what I did. I replaced the spare wheel with a sealing and pump kit, That left enough room for a large strapped down Tupperware box full of tools and come in handy bits.
