I was thinking that also.Nice to see 'old school' Daisy Mags!
I'm the same, although most of the wheel and tyre packages I've seen that include them are at least ~$3k, so I'll have to start saving! On mid-year or C2’s as they are more commonly called, I do prefer the factory “quick take off wheels “ as they were officially called by Chevrolet, knock off’s to most people.
You're a lucky man!I saw a complete set of 65/66 wheels, spinners, cones and adaptors for $1k at Daytona in March, too good to walk by so bought them. They were the first buy of the show.
Absolutely, I don't plan to get the wheels on and off with a lead mallet. It'll be modern bolt-ons for me all the wayThe more modern knock off bolt on wheels look exactly the same as the knock off’s, but just bolt on like normal.
That’s the way to go nowadays.Absolutely, I don't plan to get the wheels on and off with a lead mallet. It'll be modern bolt-ons for me all the way
Oof, that's pricey. Maybe if I get lucky on a scratch cardHere’s a set of Original 1967 bolt on wheels
Price $12k from pro team, napoleon, Ohio

You can get 'bolt-ons' that have spinner-esque hubs can't you? I quite like the retro look, but without the faff. What’s not to like, 1965 and 1967 factory aluminium wheels
1965 knock off
1967 bolt on.View attachment 26457View attachment 26458
Exactly what I'd be after!See the bolt on adapter to allow the wheel to be bolted onto the hub. Spinner then just hand tight or a gentle tap on to secure. Cone hides the lug nuts.
