Good luck with the racing . They guys I know are there racing the Torro Rosso March 74B . Davis Mercer should have been running his Raynard but numerous problems with with car has side lined it .

Hi Oneball , how did it go at Oulton Park ? Good results I hope . The March 74B guys notched up two firsts and two thirds over the weekend .

Fun but slow and lost the clutch in the second race but made it to the finish. Just starting to get back into driving after almost two year gap. Got a test day at Snetterton next week for some more practice and next race at Mallory 19th Sept

Usually, yes... mine had a full rebuild, bridgeport and a new Weber IDA carb.

I hear people take about “Bridgeport” a lot with Wankels. What is it?

Its a way of opening up the intake port to maximum size but leaving a support 'bridge' for the rotor side/corner seals to travel across.. see pic..
As well as giving a power boost it also makes a distinctive 'Brappy' engine sound.

A real bummer about the clutch giving out . Like you say , everyone missed out on a lot of track time due to damned Covid . Great pics , I love the Facel Vega , what great cars they are . The real Renault Alpine is a little cracker too .

Think the clutch is probably lack of use, the slave cylinder seems to be sucking in air.
