Starter motor refurb

Hi all, Can anybody recommend someone who can repair/recondition/refurbish, a starter motor.
New one fitted but thinking of keeping original as a spare.
In working order but insulated end cap is broken.

Depends where you are. Your profile says West midlands and I would imagine there are any number of auto electrical businesses nearby that could overhaul your motor. Do a Google search on "starter motor overhaul in (your location)".
I live near Bristol and a web search found me a small local specialist who rebuilt my C3 starter with the commutator skimmed and a new solenoid for £50. Excellent job.

I had a feeling you might ask me that Eddy. It was a couple of years ago and to be honest I can't remember now exactly who it was and at the moment I can't find the invoice. I've just done another search and although none of these ring a bell I imagine at least one of them would be able to help you.
