Maybe once you have seriously looked at a few C3`s and learned more about them you will begin to be aware of their foibles . As for burnouts , why bugger up a perfectly good set of tyres to just to show off unless your name is Clarkson ???

60x26’ tho wishing I had pushed it to 30’ but still be a big improvement. They are erecting it right over the top of the old one so I can dismantle it inside the new one πŸ‘will keep me busy but hopefully by xmas it will be getting there πŸ‘
I tried to find some photos posted by one-time member here, Norm, of his garage in, I think Delaware. As he is no longer a member I couldn't search his threads, but did find this one with a few shots of what is really just a corner of his garage!

Something to aim for maybe? :)

Did plenty of sideways driving and wheelspins in my 3 litre capri when i was 18 in the late 70’s James. When you get a few more years under your belt (me , not you) and gain some mechanical knowledge you realise the abuse doing burnouts and the like are doing to the mechanics of your car . you dont need to look at many. Car show off β€œFails” on you tube to see how quickly a quick pose can go wrong , a foot full of throttle, wheelspinning Takeaway, rear steps out , they give it some opposite lock whilst backing off the throttle , the car then suddenly picks up grip and shoots it straight into whatever the front wheels are pointing at, the crowd that were egging the driver on then turn into a cheering mob . You just made their day and ruined your own! πŸ‘

Works ?!! Wow that will be worth a lot of dosh then. What a great place to be involved with πŸ‘
Yeah , lots of dosh ! In fact it`s so valuable that the very wealthy gentleman racer who owns it will not race it as it is so original .So he has bought a non works Mk 1 twin cam with GRP blister wheel arches to race instead . But he has yet to race is as he is too busy campaigning his two March F2 cars in the Historic Masters series as well as a BMW E36 and an E46 in the classic Enduro series . Plus there is another March F2 being totally rebuilt that is chassis number 002 that will have full FIA historic certification as one key component is original . It is fascinating watching that progress . The jewel in the crown for me though is his 1976 Spice Group C that won at Le Mans . πŸ˜›
I am just the poor guy in the corner with a C3 . 😞 But he does admire it if I am working on it when he drops in . (y)

Been on the GJ for years in awe at some of the garages, workshops and collections shown. Dons party garage is just nuts. Wasn't he on that short-lived program where an ex pro wrestler and a car spiv hauled away all the junker cars and parts from vast 'collections' sold them all then restored the owners pride & joy out of the kitty?
